Ship design is a complex of challenges that precede the process of laying and construction of river transport and special purpose vessels. Inmyr provides services for the design of new vessels, technical advice and support for the construction, modernization and conversion of river transport, which is already in operation.

The design of ships and river transport requires high professionalism from the performers at all stages of project creation and preparation. Our team offers services for the integrated design of the river and estuary vessels: cargo ships, barges, tugboats, pushers, storage vessels, floating cranes and trans-loaders, crew and service boats and other special purpose  fleet. Design stages:

• • Concept development (conceptual design)
    • Drafting of technical specifications for the design of a river or specialized vessel, taking into account the navicational conditions, the required functionality, Class rules for design and construction, additional requirements and wishes from the customer.
    • Creating a preliminary design that defines the main technical parameters of the vessel and gives a general idea of ​​its structure, purpose, principle of operation, including preliminary drawings, General Arrangement Plan (GA), necessary calculations and a list of main equipment in an amount sufficient for a qualitative assessment of the ship construction cost and shipyard selection.

 

• Class design and detailed documentation

 

• • • Development of ship basic design, which finally determines the parameters and operational decisions, in accordance with the terms of technical specifications, developed conceptual design and in strict accordance with the ship design and construction rules of the selected Classification Society.
    • Approval of the project in the Classification Society selected by the customer.
    • Development of ship detailed design, which takes into account the materials and equipment used in the construction of the vessel, as well as the construction technology of the selected shipyard.

 

• Supervision and operational documentation

 

• • Author’s supervision during the ship construction according to the developed project includes consulting support of the shipyard on the project’s issues, elimination of identified errors or omissions, and implementation of changes to the project at the request of the shipyard or customer.
  • Trials and inclining test for compliance with the technical characteristics of the built vessel with the design.
  • Development and issue of operational documentation of the vessel.
